Oslo, 4 February 2022

Celsia CTO Morten Hillbom and Jan Christian Vestre, Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry, met Thursday, discussing the need sustainable finance frameworks. The meeting took place during a visit by Vestre to the Celsia offices at StartupLab in Oslo, Norway.

Among the discussion points were the need simple solutions to handle the EU taxonomy, to simplify adoption of the new requirements by companies. Minister Vestre strongly emphasized the need for more capital to flow towards sustainable projects and companies, and brought up concerns about how performance should be documented.

The EU taxonomy has been adopted into Norwegian law, but is not yet put into force despite taxonomy scoring being encouraged by the Norwegian Ministry of Finance. The sustainable finance regulation will be put into force also in Norway upon the inclusion of the taxonomy into the EEA agreement, scheduled for later in the spring of 2022.

The EU taxonomy is one of several sustainable finance frameworks in development across the globe. the Celsia solution helps companies apply it and score themselves, and continuously manage and update the score. The solution is the market's most accessible and simple to take into use, and is used by publicly listed and private companies, investment funds and banks.
